B/W RETRO

Thank you hunnies for all the sweet comments on my first icon post :)
There was also a request for a tutorial for this icon
so I tried to make one, it is my first, so I don't really know how those things work, but my fingers are crossed, lol =P

I start with this base...
step 1: shift+ctrl+u (making b/w)
step 2: copy the image-layer three times
step 3: set first copy to soft light 100%
step 4: set second copy to screen 100%
step 5: set third copy to screen 100%
step 6: sharpen the first image-layer
step 7: make a new layer on top, fill it with #E0E0E0 and set it to multiply 100%
step 8: draw a white line on the bottom with a soft white brush
step 9: now erase a bit of the white line on the bottom with an edge of a soft eraser size 10
size 10: now draw two dots with a round brush softness 90%, I used color #C9C530 and #E62750
step 11: on the pink dot, I've drawn a small white heart with a hard brush size 2
step 12: now add your text on the green dot, for my text 'crrrouch jr' I used the font 'Holiday-India'
