mowing the backyard or whackin' da weed

i always mean to update and then i don't even feel like typing and i feel like i might as well jsut be writing a letter to melissa foley becasue she's the only one in my friend's list that updates/uses LJ to any extent but then i think perhaps there's more like me who check in a lot but don't update. then when i'm really rambling or typing with no punctuation or spelling accuracy at all i make it private anyway and most entries end up far below a standard to publish to the world. i can't even be bothered to find the pictures i've taken lately or re-figure out how to upload them and do that image src crap. did i use this pic yet?? it's only a year or so old:

feeling nostalgic tonight because i listened to the Buffy Musical soundtrack and then i was talking to Russ about nofx and bill o'reilly. Russ has no love for Buffy but he is one of the few people that will get most references i make which corresponds to me talking to him semi-regularly multiple times a week for 15 or so years. I don't think anyone else is capable as knowing me so well outside of perhaps Lucas. Russ must have met all my girlfriends, most of my friends have never contemplated me having a girlfriend.

I really don't think i like talking to people or going anywhere, which i guess is obvious but then most people argue i like people because i'm such a nice guy but then i just think yeah when i have to be and i don't want to make someone feel like shit when it's nothing peronal i just want to get away or i'm in the zone where i like talking and joking with people. Reminder to self: Never NEVER kids and maybe no more pets after this current crop dies out.

back to O'Reilly... Mr. Obama, you need to get your ass in the no spin zone, yesterday!

I'm looking forward to fall and winter. It's a good excuse to stay home even more and read comics books, drink coffee, and eat ramen. I love when the seasons change, i get out some different clothes and i listen to a bunch of music from other falls or winters of my life.

Things I feel I should do in the near future that I have already done before at least once:

1. Start drawing on a daily basis.
2. Watch seasons 1-7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
3. Watch seasons 1-5 of Angel.
4. Read all seven books of Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
5. Watch seasons 1-5 of Smallville.
6. Watch season one of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
7. Build some more things out of Legos.
8. Read The New Mutants, read Xcalibur, read X-factor, read Uncanny X-men (I have half to most of the ones from the Claremont era).

The things i like the most i never get bored of. i used to read my favorite books once a year until i had too many favorite books to make that feasible.

Things I feel I should do for the first time:

1. Buy several books by Michio Kaku.
2. Watch Seasons 6-8 of Smallville.
3. Read a book of critical analysis on Stephen King's Dark Tower series that I bought at the library for 50 cents.
4. Read all the books I bought off of half.com for between 75 cents and 12 dollars. These were all books i wanted to read badly and SOON before i come across any at yard sales and get pissed.

If I had a real job this could take years...hell it might anyway if I watch 2 or 3 episodes of Buffy a week thats about 3 years...maybe I'll have to change my viewing habits and do binges/marathons. Somehow i wound up with a lot of media, moslty dvd movies and dvd box sets of shows long cancelled i never watched the first go around... some years i didn't even have an antennae hooked up, last year i only watched the office and young and the restless, this year i only watched young and the restless and watched the office later online. Since i got my laptop in february i've been watching probably two hours of tv shows or movies a day which seems like a lot to me until i hear statistics about tv watching. I watched more tv when i had 8 hour a day jobs, then i craved sitting still and zoning out, now i just can't justify it...but i gotta admit the new Terminator series was pretty good, sci fi is hard to do right and maybe this isn;t all that good but the ideas and plots in it get my imagination going, allowing me to accurately predict the future of our world:

In the future, the human race will be greatly reduced when Skynet provides all heterosexual males with sexbots that look like Summer Glau while simultaneously cutting the power to all refrigeration units storing sperm the SAME day. Try as they might, no woman is ever successful in prying a potential mate away from his Terminator... except for John Connor's mom
