AO3 link Oliver had already seen Clark, who promised that he loved him, and there hadn’t been a joint discussion. Despite all their arguments prior to getting together, Clark had always been the easy one, the forgiving one.
Lois was stubborn like him, and when he saw her a day after he stormed out, he was surprised.
“So I messed up,” Lois announced, as she approached the main room of the penthouse, where Oliver was sitting behind his desk.
Ollie shrugged and stood up, walking toward her. “I could’ve been a little less sensitive,” he allowed.
“I’m sorry, Ollie,” she told him, as they met in the middle of the room. “I was speaking for myself, and I shouldn’t have dragged Clark into it, or made you feel like you didn’t have a voice. You do.”
“Guess this all takes time and getting used to,” Oliver remarked, forgiveness in his expression and tone. She cracked a smile, understanding.
“And a bit of compromise,” she agreed. “Which is why I was thinking that maybe we, the three of us, could look into getting a new place together.”
“What does Clark think?” Oliver asked.
“He doesn’t know yet,” Lois admitted. “It was just an idea I had coming over here.”
A home for the three of them that they would all pick out together. It sounded perfect. And he said so out loud.
“Good,” Lois responded. “Are we okay?”
“Of course,” he assured her, pulling her into his arms, and she wrapped her arms around him. He pressed a kiss into her hair, and she made a happy noise, burying her head in his shoulder.
“Are you guys good?” a third voice interrupted, causing them to spin toward the sound. Clark stood at the top of the steps leading to the bedroom, a smirk on his face.
“When did you get here?” Oliver asked, a surprised laugh escaping his lips.
“Just now,” Clark replied, sounding completely unapologetic. “Sounded like you two were fine, and I’m here for the make up sex.”
Ollie looked at Lois and they exchanged grins, as they made their way to Clark, who immediately sped into the bedroom. Once there, Oliver tackled Clark onto the bed, Lois joining them, all three laughing.
And Oliver knew that he’d be okay, that they all would. Better.
This was as close to perfect as it could get, and he wouldn’t change a thing.
