Did you guys see the Presidential Debate? What were your thoughts? I don't think there was a clear winner in this one. I'm glad to see that Obama could hold his own ... some people were worried about that

Yeah, as a poli sci major, this is pretty much mandatory viewing for you. When I was taking AP Government in high school, it was 2000, and our teacher (Mr. Right Wing Conservative Reagan Worshipper) made us watch the debates and other political shows (omg so boring). But watching the first debate with Gore/Bush made it so I understood the Saturday Night Live parody of it, which is still one of my most favorite sketches.

Even if I knew who else was in the running as a third party candidate, I could never give them my vote. Not when we need to get the GOP out of the White House. Every vote counts. Sorta. It's a complicated process, as you know.

I can always count you on to be informed on whatever you're talking about.

Thanks. I try to make it clear when I'm expressing an opinion, or at least know what I'm talking about. Because it infuriates me when people blather on about stuff and they don't know what they're talking about. When they're like, "That movie sucks," and when you ask them if they've seen it, they say they read the review. Well, that's great, but what do *you* think? Or, God, I've had guys argue with me who admit they argue for fun and argue stuff when they don't know what they're talking about just to argue. ARGGGGGGGG.

I hate people. Some individuals are cool, but people... Ick.

Yeah, otherwise I'll come off looking like an idiot in classes. They'll be "what are you doing here?" But I was interested to see what they will say.

Exactly ... every vote very much counts so I would never vote for a third party either. Yeah, it's a very complicated process but one thing I'm certain of is that the Republicans can't have another 4 years.

So much YES! I hear so many people making statements about both candidates and be completely wrong on their policies. I hate when people talk for the sake of talking.
