MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE AGAIN, karahalliwell!!!

Anything else: This is an EP mix, which is generally comprised of about three to seven songs and no more than that. It nearly broke my brain putting this together, because it started out as one whole mix that grew and grew to sizes we will NOT even begin to mention. But, then it thankfully decided on IT'S OWN that it needed to cull itself back and did so by becoming part 1 in a two part story of Clark and Lois and how their EPIC LOVE spans ALL THE 'VERSES. Oh, and it also comes along with an awesome b-side too. So, yeah...enjoy bb! :)
THE STORY BEHIND THIS: here we go again."Slipped Your Heart Into Mine" is a compilation of songs that make me think of Clark and Lois and Smallville and Metropolis and Kryptonian's and Earth girls in general. And if I'm honest, a little bit of LnC's: TNAOS made in here as well. (Yeah, I know this is Smallville, blame it on my massive re-watch of all the seasons. I'd forgotten how much I loved those two - especially Dean Cain ahem, I mean Clark.)
There is love and laughter and mentions of how amazingly epic these two are, and oh yeah - there is also Florence and The National (because how do you NOT make a mix without The National), and just general "brainy" overtones and the power of the sun, and world's apart and Clark's an alien from another planet but one thing never changes - Lois is always the one for him.
I'm really kinda proud of the way this mix came together rather organically and as easily as it did. Or well, that's a lie - not the easily part, but the organically. There were so many songs that were cut, but would have still been good on here - they just didn't have the right feel. And I didn't want to go the contemporary route and use songs that had already been used a hundred and one times over. I wanted it to be original and possess its own quirks.
Sidenote, I really like FELL IN SORTA LOVE with this particular mix. I think it's my favorite of the two so far. It just all sort of came together and glued itself together with the simplicity of their love making me FALL IN LOVE AND FLAIL OVER THEM like mad.
SO BASICALLY THIS IS TOTALLY DEDICATED TO karahalliwell BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS SLIPPING THEIR HEART INTO THE OTHER'S. the second installment of this wonderful trilogy, that I'm saddened to see is almost at an end. this, for you! ♥ i hope you like the songs! enjoy, sweetheart. merry christmas, again.
