What's the deal with big cities and homeless people? We just passed through downtown Toronto, and I saw a man sleeping out on a street. He had a mattress, a pillow and a blanket. He hid himself under a rusted stairwell and turned his back to the world around him. I felt like he is ignoring us. Lucky man??????? Hundreds, maybe even thousands of people will pass by his back, dropping a glimpse at him or looking away to pretend that he is not really there. Are my thoughts about this guy same as those of a person next to me? Somehow I have no doubts that there are at least several attitudes people have towards this subject.
