Restaurant "Gagripsh" was bought founder of resort Gagra prince AP Oldenburg at the World Exhibition in Paris.
The wooden house with a clock was manufactured in Norway, delivered unassembled to Abkhazia in 1902, assembled without a single nail.
The opening ceremony of resort Gagra took place January 9, 1903 in "Gagripsh"
