I'm still here. I even still read posts from time to time, though only a few people on my friends list still post. Let me say though, I do, and always have appreciated reading everyone's entries. I like having that window into friends' lives, whether they be casual acquaintances or closer friends. It's so nice to be able to read about other people's experiences and be able to relate or learn something.
I have trouble expressing myself in written words, always have. I can babble on and on if it's about something that relates to me, but when it comes to the written word, I freeze up. I can spell, and my grammar isn't too bad, but I hate reading what I have written. It just always seems so deliberate and clunky. I prefer posting photos, and that's mainly what I do on sites like Facebook.
I was inspired to try writing here again by a recent visit with my friend Jess. You too Dan. I think I love reading your journals because you guys seem so present in your lives. By that I mean you're really good at observing and expressing what you have experienced. My way of doing that is taking photos, but it couldn't hurt to try writing about it. I'll also try commenting more when I read things, it only seems fair.
Just a recap today. Married to an awesome guy with two daughters, 2 years and 2 months. Living in an in-law suite in my parent's basement for the past year. We did this to save up for a bigger house than the little condo we previously owned. Ian got a new job several months ago with enough of a pay raise to reasonably afford a new house. I still do real-estate photography part-time.
So, life consists of toddler and baby-wrangling, feeding, changing diapers, cooking, cleaning, family activities, house-hunting, working, and sleeping. Maybe an hour or two of grown-up tv when there's time. I would love to have one day to just be lazy and watch tv in bed all day. I think back to around 10 years ago when I would sometimes complain about being bored. I'd say that I'd give my right arm to be bored, but the truth is it's nice having things to do and people to take care of.
