Stem Cells
I do have a few minutes to just remind everyone of what a MONUMENTAL ASS our president is. This stem cell thing blows my mind. The abortion issue I understand at least. Because no tangible benefit is reaped from abortion. I still don't think we should be outlawing it, but I fully understand those who oppose it.
But stem cell research? Come on! The potential to cure disease is incredible. And all we have to do is "kill" some microscopic cells? I'm sorry, I don't even see the issue here. It's a no brainer to me. My grandmother has started showing signs of alzhiemers. A dear friend of mine has early onset Parkinsons (he's in his 30s). To think that we could be researching ways to possibly cure these diseases, but instead our president is letting some absurd religious dogma stand in our way, is perhaps even more maddening than the bastard's hatred of gays, greed for oil, recklessness with war, arrogance with public policy, and ignorance of future consequences (all of which, by the way, are Christian principles...).
