I usually do pastries, but....

I decided to make a good old traditional chocolate chip cookie recipie of my own. They turn out like tiny cakes; fairly soft with a firm outside.

1/2 c. softened butter

1/3 c. granulated sugar

2 Tbsp. milk (2% best)

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 egg

1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate mini-chips
  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in milk, vanilla, and egg.
  3. In another bowl, combine soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add dry ingredients to creamed butter mixture along with chips. Mix well.
  5. Roll dough into balls (approx 1 tbsp.) and press lightly onto ungreased insulated baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10-13 mins.

Milk is always good to go. :)
