So about a month ago, I made an emergency trip to PA to try and get kittens into a shelter. I had no idea the mess that I was walking into, my mothers vet is an idiot, and when she called him and explained that she had strays that were getting sick, he tested them for worms and never suggested that they might have Feline Distemper. Well they did. And of the 18, 6 survived, I have 5 of them and
kuzu_no_ha has other survivor because of her wonderful care.
These little critters are looking for a special home once they are fully recovered. They need to stay on a special diet, have a very clean liter box, and only be around vaccinated cats for at least 6 months. The data seems to be really shaky about how long they shed the virus but I would feel safe saying 6 months. Let me know if you know of anyone. I have been hand feeding and nursing these kittens back to health so I am quite protective of them and looking for personal recommendations only. Currently Artemis and Diana are the only ones I would fell comfortable moving to another home. Venti is still too small and Apollo and Bwbach keep having intestinal distress. Here are the kittens:

Little Miss Aremis. She is a tough little girl and will be a great hunter once she stops purring while exploring. It is really hard to tell her and Diana apart.

Diana. For a while she had some gender issues... and I was calling her Elliot, but once she gained some weight it all became clear that she is a little girl. She and Artemis are the only two girls to survive, they are tough little girls and were given names to match.

Venti - in the tradition of wishful naming we called him Venti, because he is so tiny and has Latte's coloring. He was so little I was quite certain he wouldn't make it, but I was stubborn and kept him on a hot water bottle, force fed him, and made sure he didn't loose the will to live (quite common with this virus they feel so miserable they just give up) However he is a happy little stubborn kitten who just thinks the world is a mountain to be climbed.

Bwbach pronounced boo - bach (as in the composer) From the Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures. The Bwbachod (plural) are the Welsh equivalent of the brownie. Good natured sprites that help keep the house in order. He is a sweet shy little boy who sticks to the shadows.

Apollo - I keep thinking I should change his name to Phoenix for the sheer number of times I thought I would loose him and in 24 hours he will bounce back good as new. I tried for a while but I kept calling him Apollo so I feel certain that is his name for now. He is a sweet little explorer that when not feeling well or tired will just curl up on your for hours.
