YAY:
I have been invited to a real smörgåsbord, with, like, real Swedish people and everything (though I won't go because it's some random Scandinavian-American society. But still). There is a surprising amount of people with Scandinavian ancestry in the area; more than half of my Danish class is made up of people of (recent) Danish descent.
NAY:
"There have been nine [armed] robberies between September 1 and September 10 on and around the Berkeley campus. Suspects have been arrested in four of the nine cases."
YAY:
There is a hummingbird that hangs around our back patio. I think tomorrow morning I'm going to hang out on the hammock and try and get a picture. He likes the bush right next to the hammock; he perches and peeps. I've never seen a hummingbird just hang out before, or been that close to one.
