I know! But it made sense! It was about how it makes more sense to interpret works through their reception than through the Author (i.e. what they do for people & how they last rather than attempting to find one "correct" interpretation that the author meant when he wrote the text). However, she didn't assign the Foucault, and things might have been different if she had . . . Luckily that's all the theory work we're doing, so I should be safe for now : )

Aww, I don't think I'm that apathetic. Although I did recently read about a growing perception of atheism, better called (ap)atheism... which sounded about right for me.
God(s) are not relevant in my life. They don't add meaning or purpose to me individually, so language or action in their pursuit isn't something I need to be concerned with. I do find ethics, mortality, and the general issues that religion gets at interesting to compare what others have found through their own experiences, but ultimately you can only base your life and your heart on your experiences, your mind/soul covering reality like frost. To lock them down and only allow them to grow in one line seems like the obvious bad choice. More is more, right
