My days are so long. Generally good, but long.
Today I got both a set of BPAL imps (Mad Tea Party) and a book I ordered from B&N three weeks ago. Hurrah! But now I'm wasting time on the internet instead of doing my Codicology write-up.* I think I really just need to get my work done in the afternoons, when I'm awake and motivated. I definitely noticed that Latin was much easier/less painful when I did it later in the day than trying to do it in the morning before I was really awake. Though it kind of saddens me that I'm not really a morning person any more as I love mornings. I hate being awake for hours and hours when it's dark out.
Anyways,
You are The Empress
Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.
The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.
The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out. The Weepies are awesome, but I haven't listened to the album enough for a good review.
And another meme before I get to work:
Ask me to take pictures of any aspect of my life that you're interested in or curious about. It can be anything from my favorite shirt to my cell phone. Leave your requests as a comment to this entry, and I'll snap the pictures and post them as soon as I can.
*the giant scary 'go teach yourself Codicology in a week with this Boethius manuscript' project. And I got yelled at by Fr. Farge (when I wasn't doing anything) who said I was holding a '$100,000 manuscript.' Which is a total lie. But this project is terrifying because the professor was completely vague, but it's worth 25% of our grade. ARGH
