and then there's Today..
The alarm on Jake's truck went off and woke everone. The cats were dashing all around looking for a place to hide from the ungodly noise. Jake ran down the hall in his skivvy's looking for the remote. I grabbed a robe and raced down the hall with bad words flying about criminals. ( We knew it wasn't just a cat jumping on his truck because we seen that before and they don't set off the alarm.)
The alarm was off and Jake peeked out the front windows (what a wuss!) I threw on my jacket and went out the garage door and looked all around - didn't see anybody - wtf?
But what I did see - sent me back into the house quickly and grabbed my camera!
(Now mind you, this is at about 6am - it's still dark out - sorta)
There was FOG! OMG FOG! This is the first time in 7 years I've seen fog here. It was thick and yellowy from the street lights, I could barely see the house across the street. I couldn't see the house at the east end of the street, and looking west, just stationary yellowy orange glows hovering above the road. Lord have Mercy - it was beautiful!
Yep, I took me a few pictures, Can't wait to get them offloaded and uploaded and sent off in email.
It's 8:30ish, the fog has lifted some, I can see the house across the street and down the road, but it still clings desperately, little white wisps drift slowly past me.. and I reach out to touch it. I can't see the mountains nor past the trees on the next street and again, I am giddy.
Now it feels Christmasy.
Hey Mr. Weather Forecaster? So much for your warm sunny day! HAhahaha!! I hope it stays this way all day, and tomorrow and the next day!
