Futuresex/Loveshow - 01.14.07 Review!

By far, the best concert I've ever been to. I've only been to 2 others before this, but yeah, this was the best. The 2nd time I've seen Justin if you count seeing 'Nsync a few years back.

The stage is in the middle of the arena, which had extended platforms so he would walk a little closer to the audience. My seats were on one of those sides with the extended platform, about 15 rows up from the stage so I got really good views of Justin and the dancers when they went on the platform. You KNOW I was screaming and waving, actually hoping he might see me, haha. I know he didn't, sa'll good. Anywho, for different parts of the show, there were these really big screens that would go up and down, projecting Justin's performance. So basically you always had a good glimpse of Justin, which is how I took most of my pictures [cam phone]. Speaking of pictures, neither me or Hung brought in a camera. We HAD one, but Hung brought it back to his car, paranoid that security might have taken it away, but whaddya know, everybody and their moms had a camera. So I was a little bit upset with that, but oh well. I guess I should have just hidden in my purse really well.

My favorite parts of the show:
- His opening. At this point everybody's excited so when Justin finally starts singing "Futuresex/Lovesound", and those huge screens go up, you're basically like, OMGOMGOMGJUSTINNNNNNNN!!!!@$!@#!! That's how I was, haha.

- I loved the songs he sang off of "Justified". "Senorita", "Last Night", "Like I Love You", "Take it from here". FUN FUN FUN! Oh yeah, and "Gone" from the 'Nsync days.

- "Until the End of Time" cuz it's my favorite song off the album. It's friggin' sexy.

- The interlude of "What Goes Around" he takes a video camera and his face is projected on those big screens. At the end he flicks off the camera, 'cuz you know, the song's supposed to be like a huge bitchslap. It was wonderful, haha. I bet that's gonna be the concept behind the video, if he comes out with one. But then again, he kinda did that in "Cry Me A River" so maybe not.

- Timbaland was there too! I already knew this, but I didn't know he was gonna have his own set during the intermission. He played different mixes, mostly of major songs that we all know. It was pretty cool, it was like being in a club cuz the music doesn't stop.

- "Chop Me Up" was FUN. Felt like I was at a rap concert hahaha

- Everytime Justin would walk on the platform, I was screaming my head off. EVERYTIME! Made me realize how close I was.

- Him coming out at the end, playing the piano, singing "Another Song" was a great way to end the show. He was like, "Glendale… I gotta remember that." So hopefully Arizona was able to prove that we could party hard like Cali, haha. Arizona WAS his first stop out of California since the tour started.

Least favorite part:

- When it was over!

- Not having floor/VIP tickets. Srrsly. I'm a part of the fan club. Members SHOULD be given VIP tickets in my opinion, lol

- Bitches at the merchandise counter. Greedy fothermuckers!

So basically, the show was UH-MAY-ZING. I really liked the fact that he didn't rely on so many special effects, like pyrotechnics and stuff like that. It's basically just him performing and having fun. I honestly felt like I was at a nightclub/concert because the music doesn't stop [except before the very last song]. It's funny because I saw him being interviewed on TV yesterday and he said that's what he wanted the show to feel like, a club. I think he pulled it off really well. It's a really grown and sexy show.

I've been following Justin since the 'Nsync days. But I honestly enjoy him more as a solo artist. I don't know what show can top this, unless his NEXT tour is even better. That boy better come back to AZ. Screw Cali! Getting like 5 shows in a row from him. Bastards!
