Shallow Thoughts
We are in the midst of another snowstorm, which brings out the scarceness of luxuries here in Chicago. Even the highest bidder can't get a cab, if there are no cabs to be had. School and flights are being cancelled. This is what it's about here - the windy city.
I don't understand the world's fascination with poodles. The big white poodle last night looked like a giant white Diana Ross. I think they look freakish. The Cavalier and the Bulldogs were very cute....as was the pug, of course.
I wonder what killed Anna Nicole? I wonder why I am so fascinated by it. A lot of people think it was Howard. She always seemed to be doped up....so if she died from drugs...it was by her own doing. Can people really die from a broken heart?
I'm doing my first paid restaurant review tonight at a secret restaurant. I have to remember all the names of all of the staff who I come in contact with. They pay for drinks, two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. In true Suzanne fashion, I've already reviewed the menu and know what I am having. I'm going with two friends who love food as much as I do - should be fun!
Has anyone seen the movie "Dinner with Friends" with Andie McDowell and Dennis Quaid? I wish I knew the ending.
