Hey all.
Its the third week into school and I am loving being back. My classes are boring, but not quite as bad as I thought they'd be. I've been keeping up with reading and getting assignments done earlier than normal.
My friends are awesome. I've been getting to spend a LOT of time with nettie, which is wonderful. We goof around a lot and understand each other. For instance, when one of us breaks into song singing the theme from Kim Possible, the other just jumps right in! And its perfectly normal to superimpose your friend's picture into one with House, MD as a birthday gift for her 8 month birthday. Also, the classy way to drink champagne is out of the bottle with a straw, while playing a House drinking game. And it follows logically that every conversation in which a quote from House can be applied is quoted by both conversators at precisely the same moment. ...did I mention we like House?
Golf is fun. With Keith purposefully and the Football Coach accidentally saying a lot of sexual innuendo, it is very hard to get through a class with a straight face.
I am very excited for my program house to start playing with the kids. We are helping a lady in town who runs a Theatre program for kids ages 7-17. We are putting on Scrooge in the winter. After a summer of babysitting, I didn't realize I'd miss kids this much.
Band is going... well, band is band. Ditmer is crazy, of course. My rank is special. We have two awesome freshman though, and it makes me happy to see such great kids coming in.
This coming weekend I am going to ann arbor with nettie. We will see her friends and watch The Full Monty. I also am very much looking forward to seeing The Black Dahlia. As morbid as that may sound.
The next weekend we are having a game, and my nephew, sister, and laura will all be in town, so that should be good times.
...I have been really happy lately. I think its cause I have been able to keep busy. My therapist thinks its cause I am more centered now... which I guess I agree with. I just want to know what the catalyst was to change me... he couldn't give me an answer. hrmph.
