As usual, I haven't posted in a while. Let's see...

I went to a wedding a while back, and I'm too lazy to see whether I have already mentioned this. It was fairly nice. The wedding was in Devonport at a church which is almost impossible to find, due to Church Street merrily splitting, winding and becoming one-way. The reception was a bit trickier because there were a lot of people I didn't know (as well as a few I did). Plus, I was pretty wasted by then from drinking during the many hours between wedding and reception, drinking free booze at the reception, and wearing a suit in hot weather. If I get married, people can wear shorts. ;)

I'm still playing drums a little, but given the fact that the other guys have become bored and pretty much stopped, not so much. I'm getting a bit faster, due to much pracice-pad use at home when I couldn't find the keys to the band room at work.

Work is... work. We have some 'orrible clients. Some of them may not be joining us again next year.
*weep* So sad... ;)

One plus - the council recently removed the nine-storey pine trees that keep threatening to drop pine cones on our cars (or our heads). I assume they suddenly realised they were dangerous. Eureka!

Summer's looking fairly good this year. No El Nino, no El Nina, sounds like decent weather unless we get cyclones. Apparently they sometimes hit if neither of the other two problems are about. *sigh* I've already had twilight dinner on the lawn on a folding chair a few times. This weekend was great - hot enough for shorts all day long. I went to Point Chev - the view of the trees and the sea from those big old wooden benches was great, and the sea breeze was nice.

I still haven't planned exactly for my road trip. I'm thinking of going to each of Tauranga, Napier and Wellington for a few days, passing through Hamilton on the way. I'll visit anybody in (or between) those places. Sorry, no Canada this year, Molly!

Anyway, if I don't post again before Christmas, have a great time all!
