(no subject)
We are now officially out of our old apartment (keys have been dropped off with old landlord) and our storage unit. Saturday was so much harder in many ways then I ever expected it to be, but it also had some amazing surprises. My parents showed up with a new couch for us that they'd gotten for about 1/4 the original cost. They also brought a basket with champagne, steaks, crab legs and everything we'll need for a celebratory dinner. It probably won't happen until next weekend since we're so exhausted, but it was an amazing surprise none the less. Dale's mom watched Giles for several hours although she ended up bringing him back early since he was crying. He's still having problems adjusting at times and she was probably not the best person to watch him because she tends to ignore him when he's throwing tantrums instead of trying to comfort him. At the same time we didn't have a lot of options for others to watch him since my parents were helping us.
Anyway, I've got a lot of boxes scattered around just waiting to be unpacked that will keep me busy for weeks to come I'm sure. I did a quick glance over LJ since last Thursday but gave it up as a lost cause for the most part. Hopefully I didn't miss anything too huge or if I did others will tell me about it.
I leave you all with a sort of hypothetical question. Does anyone else ever consider deleting your journal and starting a new one just because you're not the same person everyone got to know anymore and you're not sure how to express that? I guess I'm in a weird mood or something . . .just ignore me and I'm sure it or I will go away.
