This is a beautiful and wondrous story. Fraser goes missing suddenly, and Ray's efforts to bring him back lead them on a journey that is full of insight, magic, and bittersweet longing.

How cool is THAT PICTURE.

Hee! Isn't it? Clearly, PG and CKR love us and want us to be happy. Also, they are just beautiful and they know it. They posed for many other pictures just to delight us. :)

I saw your fabulous Ray+GTO portrait and was awed. It's oils, right? Such a hard medium (I've always feared it--it takes so much patience and restraint).

Thank you so much. Yes, it is in oil on canvas, 18x24". I don't know about restraint, as I probably don't have much. But I agree oils require patience and hard work, OMG yes. Oils are freaking difficult and have the potential to make one come unhinged. It's so hard doing them on a deadline, too. I'm in art school, so virtually all my work has to be done on a very tight deadline. Still, I'm off for the rest of the month, so I'm taking my time with fanworks and (I hope) enjoying the process. Anyway, as tough as oils are, this piece has taken a huge amount of time just in the planning stages, because it's an imagined scene for which I have no exact reference. That's okay, of course, because that is one of the main reasons I want to make art in the first place--to depict scenes we can't (unfortunately) see otherwise.

Can't wait to see the piece you're working on now. Keerawa's writing just makes pictures *appear* somehow.

It does indeed. Her writing is so vivid; I had many options for this piece.

I hope it's another Ray.

It's not Ray this time, but thanks for saying that. Clearly he's my favorite subject, so there'll be more of him soon (I expect some people may be tired by now of my zillion and one RayKs, but I'm still obsessed.) Anyway, this is Fraser from keerawa's Guilty Until Proven Innocent.
