By the way, I bought a faucet at Home Depot:
(I'll use it without the escutcheon plate)
The best thing I can say about it is that I don't hate it. (Although the splayed out tip grates on me a little.)
It's neither ridiculously huge, nor "tying too hard" to look vintage. It's probably a good scale for the sink.
This way, I'll get one hole in the counter, a one handle faucet to make hubby happy, a center control (makes left-handed daughter happy) and in a few years when the faucet designers come to their senses, I'll replace it along with everyone who has become sick of their huge and/or ugly faucets.
