The more I look at the pictures I posted in my last two entries, the more I realize how much I hate those damn cabinet doors. I'm so glad I asked to have them re-made, and that they'll eventually be replaced. Not sure when, but they will.

I have not really settled on cabinet hardware. I bought - but am not happy with - some cup pulls for the drawers, and some of the egg-shaped knobs for the uppers. (which I do like) I like the cup pulls well enough, but the ones I bought have these fake screw heads (they really screw in from behind) and the little semi circles forming the screw heads aren't lined up! It's so shoddy looking - they scream "fake!"
The other day I ran across some glass pulls I have that had been in my parents old house - I'd love to use them, but I think they are too formal for my kitchen. I will probably design drawers into my dining room built-ins, so I guess I'll use them there (even though that was conceived as pretty casual, too.)
Did you have any suggestions on the hardware?
I'm glad you stopped by! Do you LJ?

I love glass pulls - I think they would be lovely in the dining room - formal or no. I can see how in the kitchen they might be a pain though. I am obsessed with replacing our bathroom cabinet hardware as well as most of the light fixtures in the house. Alas, DH doesn't see that as a high priority for a house we're not staying in permanently.
I am on LJ but I rarely post in my own journal - I use my CC one more. I friended you so that I remember to stop by!
