Wow - what a great find! Good for you. Very close approximation. :)

Yeah - the top looks a little pump-like, which puts it into the "trying too hard" category. If I'm being honest, your experience with the mico faucet was one reason I opted not to spend the money. I just can't see why these things are so expensive!

Oh, and by the way - when I decided on the Sigma faucet, I had no idea how expensive it was! I was shocked when my rep gave me the price. The $600.00 is WITH my professional discount!

Sigma is apparently at the high end - I had not known that before! There's a bunch of brands that are "gourmet" faucets, but I don't think that technologically they are any better than the mid-priced ones.

The cheap ones (under $99.00) ARE cheap - they probably won't last as long. This one, when new and not discontinued, would have been about $175.00. It's still available on some of the home sites on-line.

Wow, I like that! Is the eBay version a decent brand faucet?

Argh - now *I* posted something that LJ ate!

It's a Price Pfister, which is low-mid range. I don't know if you looked at any of the past discussions on faucets that *try too hard.* I think this one does - it has the appearance of an old water pump, which is kind of dopey.

But the sink demands that the faucet have a vintage look, DH demands that it have a single control, and I demand that it have a long spout. (The sink is deep, and the temporary faucet I have now makes my back hurt!)

So basically, it's been a process of elimination.

They're so similar! Good move on ebay!

Yeah - most people probably wouldn't see the difference once it's installed. What I like about the Sigma is the interesting handle, and the fact that it doesn't have that "old tyme water pump" look to it. Oh, well. The price ought to come down in a few years - maybe I'll even find one on eBay then!

I, too, bought a Price Pfister on ebay, but was the one that I had wanted.

That really is similar. Wow.
