Where has all the Gonners gone?
Maybe this was just a subtle ploy to get me to write in my LJ again, because as you all know it is al about me, but where has the Gonners site gone, is this going to be my only contact pint with all my lovely Gonner friends?
It is true that this is probably a better medium to place content on the web, but I am so good at those glib one-lines that have you al in stitches, even though I don’t really know how.
SO I’ll just have to put my input in the usual threads in Diary form
What you have seen or watched recently - non sports edition -
Kingdom, I LOVE Stephen Fry, he is just genius, for those of you North American folks who don’t know who he is, he is the Physiatrist in Bones. Kingdom is suitably British and well just wonderful.
And of course
Torchwood, back to being scary, dark, and self loathing as it should be I was a little worried there for a moment, I thought that Russell was loosing his nerve. Still could go a bit more into the nasty Humanness, but I suppose that really is the domain of the Doctor.
Random Thoughts
Why is it that water, wind (in the representation of flags) and garish city lights, always looks so pretty.
Thing that do NOT, not I say make my day.
My dry cleaning firstly not being ready, secondly looking no different from when I put it in, and thirdly thinking that dry cleaning is useless, I may a well had was my beautiful silk dress, as if they can’t get the armpit stains out I’ll never be able to wear the dress again.
Who designs a 160 pound dress that can only be warn once ANYWAY. It is such a pretty dress I’ll be so sad if it is ruined.
To digress into other ranty things
I hit up an old boss today to see if I could get a job since I seem to be having the WORST luck in the world at finding a job, I mean, one agent said “ooh we can help you in April”, another one left the agency a week after signing me on, and yes this old boss said “oh if only you’d been a week earlier we just signed on a 6 month temp, in a job that would have been PERFECT for you”! ARGGGGG!!
I need to get a backbone and not be so tentative about asking previous employers and people in general for assistance in these things. I SUCK.
The year of the Rat starts at the end of next week, which coincides with my trip to Cardiff, two karma changing events, should do the trick. I’ve always had a good feeling about Cardiff, don’t know why.
