Ivanova's room, Tuesday evening

After returning from Theodoric's of York - ow, by the way, ow - Ivanova was left with the short but nonetheless depressing task of packing. She hadn't really done much unpacking to begin with, so it didn't take very long at all. That was perhaps even more depressing ( Read more... )

Maia took a deep breath, swallowing hard she knocked on the door. Susan was leaving, it was their last night together. She swallowed harder and refused to get upset.

Ivanova did not leap at the door. It was a controlled stride. Really. Nor did she wrench it open or beam. She opened the door and smiled. "Maia."

Maia smiled at her, her eyes drinking in Susan's face and smiling even more. "Hi." She said in a soft voice.

Ivanova let out a soft laugh and pulled her into the room, closing the door behind them. "I have a surprise for you," she announced, grinning wickedly.
