Ivanova's room, Thursday (for fandomhigh)

Aug 24, 2006 08:49

Ivanova breezed into her room, intending on a quick snack before she went right back out again.

Her computer had other plans.

"Incoming message from Babylon 5, from President John Sheridan, attention Susan Ivanova," it informed her calmly.

"Oh, shove it," Ivanova muttered from the interior of the fridge.

'Command not recognised.'' )

Blair wasn't really sure what to do after leaving Bel's room. He finally ended up outside of Ivanova's door and tried to make himself presentable before knocking. His pants looked fine, and the majority of the white facepaint had been wiped off on the shirt he was holding.

As he knocked he looked down and huffed quietly. "I lost my shoes."

Still growling quietly to herself - "send Zathras to fetch my ass" might have been in there - Ivanova went to answer the door. Her mouth fell open at a shirtless, shoe-less, face-paint-smudged Blair standing there. "Blair!"

Blair was pretty sure that he should explain what was going on to Ivanova. He was also pretty sure that looking pathetic was un-guy-like. But pride be damned, he was really upset so he just shrugged and moved forward to give Ivanova a hug.

Ivanova hugged him back without hesitation, squeezing him tightly. "Hey, hey, what's wrong?" she asked, worried. First Phoebe crying, now Blair looking most decidedly unBlairlike . . . eep.

"Not a virgin anymore." Blair mumbled into Ivanova's shoulder. "Don't remember. Yelling. Lost my shoes."

Ivanova worked backwards. No shoes. Yelling. Probably drinking. And - "What?"

Blair pulled back and moved to sit on the bed. "Yup. I don't remember it at all and it was with Bel and I'm apparently not his type. Which is fine cause he's not my type either and I didn't really want to sleep with him or anyone right now because I wanted to make my first time be with someone, who, I don't know...doesn't hate me and isn't in a serious relationship with someone else. Plus I don't even like guys and there were condoms everywhere and facepaint in places that I don't want to talk about."

"I don't even know if I was any good!" Blair threw his hands up in the air.

Ivanova hugged him quickly and dropped a kiss on his forehead before moving over to her desk and starting to rummage through the drawers as she talked, her voice warm but her eyes curiously flat. "Calm down. I'm sure you were fine." If the way you walk in leather pants is any indication, and I've generally found it to be. Nope, that wouldn't help. "It wasn't your fault."

"Doesn't matter. Still happened." Blair watched her idly. "What are you looking for?"

"My PPG," she replied flatly, lifting up a few books and reaching under them, groping around for a minute before pulling out the small firearm. "A ha! Found it." And she began very methodically to check her energy caps as she headed for the door.

No one did this to her Blair. And she didn't even have to work to get the bastard's identity.

"A gun?" Blair's eyes widened. "No guns!"

"What? I'm just going to kill him a little bit for this."

"No guns." Blair repeated and shook his head, curling up on the bed. "Just hang out with me before my workshop, okay. I feel kinda...like I need to hang out with someone."

Ivanova looked at the PPG in her hand and uncomfortably flashed back to her fifteen-year-old self sniffling on Ganya's bed as he stood by the door with a baseball bat in his hand and a murderous look in his eye.

She set the gun down and walked back over to the bed, curling up behind Blair and wrapping herself around him.

"No guns," she agreed.

"Thanks, Stella." Blair snuggled closer. "I probably should be meditating or something but I don't even know where to begin on how to process this."

Ivanova smoothed his hair back and snuggled in. "I think you're handling this very well," she told him. "I remembered almost everything, it was with the opposite sex, and I was still a sobbing mess." She squeezed him tight. "You'll work through it."
