Remember me? I'm that terrible friend who has effectively abandoned all y'all for the entire summer. I'm so sorry and I know I suck. Hopefully, I can make it up to y'all eventually.
There's been some good stuff and some bad stuff taking up my time of late. Been dealing with some family crises and I'm praying it is about to be resolved in a good way. This one has only two options -- heartbreakingly bad or extactically good. I'm praying for the later and soon.
Since March, Suz decided that the skinny fairy wasn't going to show the fuck up and give me my body back so I started going after her. Working out every other day, eating good stuff instead of bad and it's worked. Since I started, I've gone from an 18W to a misses 14. For the first time in 15 years, I can look at myself naked and not feel alien. To cement my committment, today I put all my big clothes on Ebay. Now, I have very few things to wear because the ship I've been waiting to come in with my bag of money has yet to arrive, but I don't care. It feels so good. My goal is by the time next summer rolls around, before I turn 48, I want to be in a 2 piece swimsuit...NOT swimdress. :-)
I've also been working on my original novel and things are coming together like I never thought they would. The fanfic is on the back burner, but this is a good thing.
Finally, I've been working on trying to build my business, Miss Hissy Fit. Just finished loading 61 products that are made by my own two hands. It's damn near impossible to grow a business without investment capital (so if you know some rich dude wanting to invest in a strictly female owned business, sent him/her my way?!) but we're working very hard with what little we have. Molly's back at college. Anna's about to drive and desperate for a job and a way to not fail algebra. Ian is playing peewee football and his goal as a lineman is to make some other kid cry. I couldn't be prouder.
