On Monday, I was a guest of ProQuest, one of our Library vendors, at the Australian Open Tennis in Melbourne. They paid to fly us over, tickets to the tennis, fed and watered us. Further to that, I was technically on the clock so I also got paid for the day! It was heaps of fun! I've never really watched much tennis, not being a particularly sporty type, but I had an absolute blast. I've decided I'm just going to enjoy experiences like this when they come up because I won't be in this job forever so I need to make the most of!
The roof takes 25 minutes to close, so they partially closed it because the weather looked grim. By lunchtime we were sitting in full sun and I got a little bit sunburnt!
