Title: Life's Journey Trod

Summary: Written for evilmaniclaugh's prompt of "Musketeers getting older. Athos decides to hang up his boots." After a lifetime's career in the Musketeers, when Athos finally decides it's time to retire from the regiment he's at a loss for what to do next. In the meantime he decides to pay a visit to Porthos, himself recently bereaved and left with two small children and an estate to run. What begins as little more than a social call results in something longer term for all concerned as both men slowly realise their true place is together.

Summary: Written for evilmaniclaugh's prompt of "Athos is taking life drawing classes to help him get over his alcohol withdrawal and Porthos is the model." Present day AU. Trying to get his life back together after losing his house and his job through his drinking, Athos is at rock bottom - at least until he meets Porthos. Athos then has to decide whether to risk losing him again by admitting to the addiction he's still struggling with - and that's not the only problem that's about to get in the way of their budding relationship.

Summary: Retirement home AU - it's Porthos' first day in his new surroundings, and while his initial attempts at striking up a friendship go awry, it might be that something lasting will come out of what seems like disaster.
(I was in the middle of writing 'Life's Journey Trod' and somehow this took over - modern day musketeers in a retirement home. If anyone remembers Waiting For God, it's basically an AU of that, with Athos and Porthos instead of Diana and Tom).
