Greebo, Nanny Ogg's cat from the Discworld books. Yes, I could have gone for 'Gytha' or 'Granny', but come on, an evil-minded tom-cat that occasionally turns into an eyepatched brigand of dubious moral character? What's not to love?
Goodwin, Archie, Nero Wolfe's right-hand man from the books by Rex Stout, and also in a rare example of casting that's never made me want to chew my eyes out, as played by Timothy Hutton in the US TV adaptation. One of my favourite literary charachters, evah, and probably my ideal man.
Giordino, Al, aka Dirk Pitt's sidekick from the Clive Cussler books (or the film Sahara if you're not of a literary bent, although I use the word literary probably quite inappropriately). As close as two men can get, they spend their entire time saving each other from dire peril, facing certain death, and finding the occasional fabulous treasure. I really must get round to writing that fic...
Gibbs, Leroy Jethro, the employee-slapping, coffee-mainlining, pretty-damn-omniscient head of NCIS. King of snark. I waver between 'shipping him with Ducky and with Abby.
Gregory Parton, aka Dolly, from Bonekickers (see icon). The best lines, the best leer, and the only remotely convincing archaeologist on the show. And that was mostly down to the drinking.
