Work today was entertaining. I walked in and knew right away that the annual conference was this weekend. Probably 4000 copies of random stuff sitting around all over the office, nametags, strings, and other completely random stuff sitting around. And cedar sitting at her computer buried in a pile of donations for the silent auction trying to decide starting bid prices.

So, today I counted out tickets for the meals on friday and saturday, then all the staff (and a few volunteers) loaded up all the folders and tons of copies to the library, and went and stuffed all the folders. So, the registration folders are stuffed. Yay! So, I looked at my name tag. This year I dont have a volunteer flag thingie, and they put Practical Farmers of Iowa under my name like they did the rest of the staff only I dont have a staff flag. Meh, at least it is better than volunteer :p.

Tomorrow will be interesting. I have to go in at 9, which means I will be working probably an 8 hour day!! Yay for making lots of money at once. The check after the annual conference will be awesome. Tomorrow we have to stuff nametags, make more copies, put meal tickets in nametags, load stuff into the vans, buy food for the childrens thing, sort stuff for the raffle, etc etc etc. I dont know if we will have enough hours tomorrow, but we will have to see.

Oh hey daddy, I forgot to ask. Do you want to buy any raffle tickets? The prizes are: Cedar the weeder, a $100 gift certificate to premier fencing, a framed photograph of one of the farmer's boots sitting by the barn (really neat picture), a basket of 12 Iowa wines, and a 2 night stay at a bed and breakfast somewhere. Just figured I would ask because we were talking about it. We could probably come up with enough work for a cedar the weeder :p.

In other news, when everyone figures out that I am graduating in may, why do they ask what I am going to do. No, I dont have a job yet. Yes, I want to work for Organic Valley but I dont know what I want to do for them. And no, I am not sure if PFI will be hiring and if I could work there..... Oy....
