I have finished my first Writing for Print Media assignment.
Yesterday I started my week 12 Region and Culture essay. I had a choice of three subjects and chose:
Discuss how a text inscribes the landscape with meanings of cultural significance.
My essay title: "I Was Only Nineteen. A wholistic journey to the haunted spiritual core of the Aussie Vietnam War Veteran."
My thesis statement. "This essay will discuss how the song 'I was only Nineteen', by Australian band Redgum, uses well-crafted lyrics, voice tone, video footage and royalties to inscribe the musical landscape with meanings of Australian cultural significance".
Considering yesterday morning I was seriously contemplating having What the Bloody Hell Does That Mean? as my abstract, I am feeling very satisfied at my progress.
oh and also...
I discovered yesterday that The new Steve is a dud also. jealousy... and all that crap.
