My article in Bitch Magazine is OUT.
It's a front-of-book column, On Marketing, about how big-box sporting retailers sell their products to women.
The new fall issue, "Loud," just hit newsstands, possibly even today (I just happened to go into a B&N before my eye doctor this morning and was shocked to actually find it!).
James already put a blog post and link about it on www.ReadCOD.com
I hope it gives my new blog, http://suzannecarlson.wordpress.com, some traffic, and maybe [fingers crossed] I get some new assignments!
Kelly, you may be the only person who actually appreciates and understands this, by the way. My parents couldn't give a damn. Frankly, I think they're just pissed I'm published in a magazine called "Bitch."
But for once in my life, I can truly, justifiably tell them to SUCK IT.
Feminists across the country are going to pay $5.95 to read my thoughts on marketing (and the thoughts of lots of other cool people about lots of other feminist things).
Needless to say, I'm psyched.
