I'll enter! (Especially as Karen was rightfully berating me for not reading short stories just the other day.)
I've got one anthology of short stories - the Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance, and I really enjoy it. There are several authors that I now plan to check out as soon as I get to a slightly bigger library than my local one. C. T. Adams & Cathy Clamp for a start, and also Caitlin Kiernan. Although I'd heard good things about them before, the anthology persuaded me that I should check them out.

EDIT: Oh, I tell a lie! - I also have a lovely collection of short stories by Garth Nix, which were wonderful. But I was familiar with him as an author before that, so that didn't really lead me to new authors. *g*
