Oh my God, this is just so precious. I like the insight into what Uhura's thinking interspersed with what actually comes out of her mouth:

“Y-yes, I know it’s unusual. I only mean as colleagues, of course. We can simply dine together, right? Can’t we-”

Go on a date?

“Simply sit down at a restaurant and just-”

Make out?

“Talk?”

Me? I'd slip up and actually say: "Simply sit down at a restaurant and just make out." Not Uhura. She thinks before she flirts!

I'm so glad you liked her inner battle with her own... well, for lack of a better term, her own devil. I know Bad!Uhura! would've totally wanted to jump Spock right there.

But she does think (a little bit) before she flirts. She knows she can't control her mouth half the time.
