(no subject)
So I realize I don't post often. Over the Summer, I thought I would change that, but it didn't quite work out like I planned. I figured if it was worth posting, I'd get around to it.
So I wrote something pseudo-substantial, but realize there's no real audience for it. I have completed the main plot of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and felt compelled to write-up a synopsis. For those not interested (most likely 95% or more), it will prove disinteresting. For those who do enjoy the games, I realize I finished it fairly early, so you may not want to spoil yourselves on the "finer" plot points. Like I said, there's no real audience for this. I was simply compelled.
Jiminy: "Wow. We sure have been through a lot in our past 2 adventures. It's a good thing I wrote about them in my 2 journals so we won't forget the... Oh no! Someone erased my journals! Now I'll never remember what good friends Sora and I are.
*runs to King Mickey*
Jiminy: "Your Majesty! My journals have been erased except for 1 sentence that makes no sense at all! I think existance everywhere is in peril!"
Micky: "Your logic is sound. Quickly, we shall unerase what was written. Chipmunks! Download the whole journal into the computer. The journal accompanied Sora on his adventures, so it should technically remember everything that happened."
Chipn'Dale: "Wait, huh?"
Micky: "Activate Disney Magic Plot Device! Tron-disassemble-ray on!"
Computer Screen: ERROR
Mickey: "Of course! The journal has been compromised. The pages of paper are full of viruses!"
Donald: "*something unintelligible*"
Mickey: "You're right! This is the Matrix. I'll use code and my advanced knowledge of artificial intelligence to create a digital hero to destroy the virus on the inside. Certainly the journal will remember everything that was erased, including telling us who erased it, and what this new message means."
Digital Sora: "Um, Yeah, so I don't know who I am. Is that God that I hear above me?"
Mickey: "It sure is. Now kill the bugs so you can save this journal-world."
Digital Sora: "I'm on a journal? This looks real to me..."
Mickey: "Don't question me. God has spoken."
Digital Sora: "Understood. Hey, a Keyhole! I have this giant key. Mickey, what do I do?" (<- He really asks that)
Goofy: "Really? You guys call ME stupid?"
Mickey: "The journal secretly remembers the real worlds the real-Sora traveled to. Use the keyholes to travel to these journal worlds and kill the bugs. That will tell us who wrote the extra message."
Digital Sora: "That doesn't make any sense at all."
Digital Riku: "Yes it does."
Digital Sora: "O hai! Ok, it does."
Digital Riku: "I am the soul of the journal. These worlds are me. You're dancing in my head. I chose to take the form of Riku because he's rugged and manly. The memory of the journal dicatated that I was the ideal choice."
Mickey: "Stop it, Journal! Your being mean."
Digital Sora: "No. He's right. Check out that chiseled jaw."
Mickey: "I know. His photo is my desktop background. But he still doesn't have to be so blatant." *sigh* "So by killing the bugs in your head, the journal remembers what was erased, and will be fixed?"
Digital Riku: "Yup"
Mickey: "But you remember all of the worlds clearly already, otherwise there wouldn't be anything Sora could run through."
Digital Riku: "Yup"
Digital Sora: "Stop questioning him! Even though the actual Riku stabbed me in the back several times, I trust this lookalike completely! I'm as easy to manipulate as Terra, which makes no sense because I never met him before."
Mickey" Ah, Terra. Now that was a chiseled jaw."
Digital Riku: "Oh yeah, and I thought Mickey, Donald, and Goofy could help, so I beamed them in when they weren't looking. Be careful of the digital heartless! You guys can actually die pretty gruesome deaths in here."
Goofy: "It's ok. I had my near-death scene in Kingdom Hearts 2. I'm plot-safe."
*Donald puts on armor*
*Digital Sora begins running through worlds*
Digital Sora:
"Traverse Town, hmm? This Cid guy is an excellent baby sitter."
"Wonderland, eh? This is taking far too long. I have no memory of it because I'm fake, but I still hate this place."
"Olympia, huh? This... Ok. This is actually pretty cool."
"Agrabah, AND A GENIE?!?! I have the opportunity to make the stupidest wishes EVAR!"
*Pete and Malificent show up*
Pete: "How did we escape after the twerp beat us last time?"
Malificent: "Hush you. This digital world is a great place to start for taking over the real world. DARKNESS!"
Digital Sora: "Hollow Bastion, yeah. This looks nice."
Pete: "KARATE EXPLOSION"
Digital Sora: "DAMMIT"
*Keyblade shatters*
Digital Sora: "Mickey? The fake keyblade borked. Can you beam me in a new one?"
Mickey: "Nope"
Digital Sora: "But you made me- a living, thinking, intelligence out of scratch. These worlds and NPCs are all created from empty paper. Can you please beam me down a new key."
Mickey: "God has spoken"
Digital Sora: "Dammit!"
Malificent: "DARKNESS!"
Digital Riku: "You're right, Malificent. I'm evil now. Digital Sora, because I'm the journal and now evil, everything will fall apart. We're all going to die. Whatever you do, don't try to save me."
Digital Sora: "I'm going to try to save you!"
Digital Riku: "Good plan, bro. Enter me and expunge my demons."
Mickey: *blushes* "I'll, uh, I'll be right back guys."
Digital Sora: "I did it! You're good again!" *extra note below*
Digital Riku: "Awesome. The journal is fixed. Everything is back to the way it was. Now the paper has ink on it! It's like we never existed."
Digital Sora: "Wait, does that mean... AH SHIIIII" *blinks out of existance*
Mickey: "Hey guys, what did I miss?"
Goofy: "The journal's fixed, we're in the real world, but now there's an extra digital world made by the one sentence that was added."
Mickey: "Ok. Let's make a 2nd Digital Sora to check it out."
Digital Sora #2: "Um, Yeah, so I don't know who I am. Is that God that I hear above me?"
Mickey: "It sure is. Now kill the bugs so we can see the epilogue of this journal-world."
Digital Sora #2: "I'm on a journal? This looks real to me..."
Mickey: "Wow. Deja vu. Don't question me, God has spoken."
*Digital Sora #2 jumps in keyhole*
*Organization-XIII-jacketed man*: You're in Castle Oblivion
Digital Sora #2: "If I had my memory from 5 minutes ago, I'd think you're wearing Riku's outfit."
Jiminy: For those of us with our Kingdom Hearts timelines in front of us, I was never here to write this world down. Therefore, a Castle Oblivion world in the journal is a bit confusing.
Organization-XIII-jacketed man: It's because it s added by someone else! Hah hah! Digital Sora #2- walk in the castle. You will meet new friends, who weren't actually new to Digital Sora #1 but brand new to you, and then I'll force you to forget them. Bwa-hah-hah!"
Digital Sora #2: "I have no doubt this will weigh heavily on my heart. I sure hope I don't get swallowed up by the Darkness."
*Digital Sora #2 doesn't, in fact, get swallowed up by the Darkness*
Organization-XIII-jacketed man: "Surprise! I'm Roxas! FIGHT ME!"
Digital Sora #2: "I don't know if that's supposed to mean something to me because I NEVER met you, nor am I ACTUALLY Sora. But ok. I'll kick your @$$.
Digital Namine: "It was me the whole time! The real Namine wrote me into the journal so I can deliver a message."
Digital Sora #2: "But you seem nice. Why add the viruses? Why almost kill Mickey and my friends? Why rip out the memories I made only 5 minutes ago?"
Digital Namine: "Because I promised Sora I'd give him a message, and had to make sure he was ready for it. Here it is: Sora: You have a lot of people in your head."
Digital Sora #2: "That's it? That's the message? Like, 1 sentence that Mickey will jot down on post-it and deliver via message-in-a-bottle? I am the 2nd digitized lookalike whose memories have been shredded several times whilst battling an endless supply of these faux-heartless just so you would think Sora, who isn't actually here at all, is ready for a message when I have no actual connection to this guy? You DO know that when this is over, I'm going to be deleted. So all of these trials you've had run me through have been a complete waste of time, right?"
Mickey: "Nope. She makes sense to me."
Digital Sora #2: "You're all crazy! I have to reach the real Sora somehow and let him know about the types of freaks he's fighting for...*"
Mickey: "Whoops. Hit the delete button!"
Donald: "*Something unintelligible*"
Micky/Donald/Goofy/ChipnDale: LOL!!!
*extra note*- I left this out because it was the most, um... confusing?: At this point, Digital Sora faced his own Digital Heartless, the journal equivalent of the heartless created when Sora stabbed himself in KH1. In real life, defeated heartless released their hearts. All of the heartless fought in the digital world weren't real, so no real hearts were released. Instead, all of the hate and emotions ("mind") of the digital heartless were fed into one being: Journal-Sora-Heartless. This was pretty beastly. Oh, Digital Sora still pwned it.
*sigh*. Yeah.
