Time for my 2014 yearly update! Well it's almost 10 years since i initially posted here and it's so nice to read, reflect and giggle. I'm just glad that nobody else seems to read this anymore! Quite a lot has yet again happened in my life but I'll try keep it short and sweet - here goes!
Myself and Craig moved into our beautifully 3 bedroom house last June. It was very stressful and emotional to come to the decision to sell our much loved flat. However, it was, without a doubt, the best decision we could have made. The jump from a flat to a house may not seem that big, but it had a major impact on our lives. We just love the fact that we can shut the door and know that everything in the building is OURS. If anything goes wrong (which, touch wood, it hasnt yet) it's OURS. We have a front and back garden which is OURS - we just love it! No noise, beautifully area and we are very much happy and enjoying life!
Work wise...can't really say too much but still in a very challenging school which has posed great problems for all staff. We ended up front page in the newspapers in March and it just wasn't a great time. Unless you work there, nobody could begin to imagine how tough it is. It goes beyond teaching and into an environment where your 1st priority is the safety of the children, not to simply teach them. Anyhoos, not going to say anymore other than I have made such amazing friends in the school who have helped me beyond belief. I've got P1 in August (which I must admit, I'm terrified about), but hey ho - things can't get much worse! (Surely?!?!)
Still love my friends to bits! Made some great friends along the way but my lifelong girls will always be the biggest part of me. Some changes recently have upset me and I do wonder what the future will hold. It's amazing how you can give, give, give so much in my life yet at times you get nothing in return...
Next MAJOR update is that I'll be a married woman by the next time I update! Myself and Craig are getting married on the 12th of April 2015 at Brigo'doon House, Alloway. We're just so excited and I just can't wait to be his wife! We've came through so much together but it's true when you hear the saying "Today I marry my best friend" - he really is my best friend. It's going to be a fairly big wedding and I've had to juggle it around the school holidays, but it'll be worth it! Not much will really change to be honest once we're married. We'll have stayed together for 5 years once we're wed, we have our house, we're both settled. What's next? Who knows! I'd love to be blessed with children and this is something we both want. However, we're just going to focus on married life and enjoy our well earned honeymooon in the summer. We've no idea where to head to for our honeymoon but we've both agreed we'd love to go back to Vegas. Possibly a Vegas 4 nights and Mexico 10 nights holiday may be on the card.
So that's that then! The next time I update I will be Mrs Suzanne Ritchie - who would have thought it. Maybe I shall update as I lie on a sandy beach, cocktail in my hand during my honeymoon.
Life is an adventure - Enjoy every moment xxx
