You wake up to a sudden, super annoying alarm going off. A clear jolting out of a solid sleep. You figure the owner of the alarm will turn it off presently, and roll over to try and go back to sleep. The alarm doesn't stop. In fact, it sounds awfully loud, actually. The person who owns the alarm is sleeping right through it anyway, so you get up to find the phone, because that alarm is really fucking annoying.

Fifteen minutes later and the alarm is still going, still annoying. In fact, the fact that it's so loud and you can't find it is starting to drive you somewhat nuts. The person who owns the alarm won't wake up for anything. You know, because you've jostled them several times and they just kept right on sleeping.

Another ten minutes and you finally figure out the phone is underneath the bed, and that's why it sounds so loud. So you grab the nearest thing handy, turn on the light, grab a flashlight for better visibility and you STILL can't find the damn phone.

By now it's not about finding the phone. It's about shutting up the god forsaken screeching. So you go find someone you know is awake and inform them they need to help you come find the source of this infernal noise before you do grievous injury to something. You're at your wit's end; you're asking for help! You get told you need to relax. And then, oh so casually, it's a phone making the noise. Like you didn't know that.

At this point, it's half an hour after you began and the owner of the phone has groggily gotten up and pushed the bed aside and is blindly, not quite hurriedly groping around under it for the phone. The phone is found, dumped on the bed and they walk out to go to the bathroom.

Leaving the alarm still on. You have a moment where you're about to strangle someone, so you tell the other awake person you are going to throw the motherfucking thing out the goddamn window if they don't get to it first. They look at you and reply that it's just a phone and you need to calm down. Like there is something inherently wrong with you toward feeling murderous towards a cell phone.

Now, imagine all of this occurring at 6:30 on a Sunday Morning.

GUESS WHO'S NOW AWAKE!

family, life
