Ch.1

Next day big was Hankyung’s surprise that DongHae came to him at work and asked how he feels, is he okay, does he need any help or advice. Hankyung just smiled, laughed and shook his head. He wasn’t aware that he would be still caring about him but that somehow warmed his heart and for once he felt genuinely happy. Other workers weren’t that cold to him either or he was just that happy that didn’t notice their presence.

Hankyung sat for minutes with nothing to do. It is kind of less people today. That was something they haven’t experienced for long time. Usually it’s full here with noisy and hungry people.

“What are you thinking again?” One of workers noticed him and walked over. He seemed to be the same age as him or maybe older.

“Nothing.”

“Why always when I ask it’s nothing?”

“Because it is really nothing.” Hankyung stubbornly turned away. Why can’t he just go away? He was ruining his mood.

“But have you ever thought that I wanted just to talk with you so think about something.”

“Ehh?” Did he hear right? He wanted to talk?

“I was trying to be nice for once.”

“Why?”

“There isn’t a particular reason.” Kangin just shrug his shoulders.

“Well I could think about that.”

“You’re stubborn are you?” The question was like grabbed out of blue to get his attention.

What was his name again? Why in the moments he needed that he can’t remember?

“Well…. No idea.”

The guy sat beside him and rested his hands on the table looking down as if thinking something before he spoke.  “You don’t seem that bad as others say.”

“Am I?” he wasn’t surprised about other thoughts. Spending day by day with them he learned that they are just all stupid and unfriendly.

“You can believe me. And don’t make such a big eyes.” He laughed by Hankyung’s surprised expression. “You know I feel like you expected all of us to be some monsters or what.”

“But you acted like that.”

“Are you serious?” that way too surprised tone in his voice was making him to regret his last words.

“Umm… maybe no.”

That guy laughed again but Hankyung heard very less of that since his eyes was fixed on the doorway were just few people stepped in. All of them were dressed in black with sunglasses on and one had a black bag probably stuffed full of something. From his behavior he can tell there should be something very precious. He watched how they settled down in the darkest and the farthest place in this restaurant.

“Umm…” Hankyung poked his side to turn his attention to himself since he doesn’t know how to address him.

“Kangin. My name is Kangin.” He smiled amused by that how less Hankyung still knows.

“Well then Kangin who are they?” he pointed at those black dressed men in the corner.

“They…. I think they are from some gang or thing like that. Around this area there are a lot of them.” He frowned a bit but then stood up to walk and service them.

“Wait!’ Hankyung exclaimed.

“What?” Kangin turned around and gave him a confused look.

“I’ll serve them.” Hankyung stood up and passed him.

“Well but be careful when you talk.” Kangin decided to sit down and look after him and go help if something goes wrong.

“Ok.”

Kangin watched all the time how he asked questions and saw his delicate smiles, nods and soon after bowing he was back to him. Surprisingly nothing happened, he was still in one piece and smiling satisfied with result.

“How you did that? Once, this kind of band almost killed one of our waiters when they found out that he was smirking about their appearance.”

“Well that’s my secret and there is a list of what they want to eat.” Hankyung handed it to Kangin and plopped on the chair he was sitting before. These guys gave him some things to think about.

“I’m surprised.” Kangin stood up and left to tell the cook what he needs to make.

“Han Geng!” DongHae appeared shouting after him with the name he got after getting out of hospital. One of the nurses remembered him from the last time he was there and he used this name. Actually he kind of liked that name.

“What you want?”

“Hey I had an idea. Can we maybe go to-oh holly shit!” DongHae hid behind Hankyung’s back as saw a tall, red haired man with yet again black clothes on entering the restaurant. He stopped not far from doorway as if enjoying all gazes at him before breaking into a smirk.

“Who is he? You know him?” Hankyung asked aware that DongHae was practically trembling.

“Not really. I was serving him few times and last one he yelled at me looking like was about to hit.”

“Oh poor boy.” Hankyung whispered to himself. After taking a closer look at this guy when he sat down gracefully Hankyung must admit he looks a bit dangerous. He took in a big breathe of air and stood up. “Ok, I’m ready for another round.”

“Wait! Are you going like this? Don’t need a help?” DongHae offered still hiding behind him.

“No, no. I think you need one more than me.” He smiled by the surprised expression on DongHae’s face.

“How can I help you?” Hankyung was all polite when spoke. The guy looked up and his surprise was so deep to see the face in front of him.

“Do I know you?” Hankyung asked sensing the surprise in this guy’s reaction. He would be really glad to find anyone who knew him.

“No, no. you were just reminding me of someone.” His expression changed fast back to normal. It was so fast that Hankyung didn’t get time to react when he was already talking about something completely different. “So I want to order…..” the rest Hankyung didn’t hear. Did this guy know him? There was a big possibility. But he didn’t look like a guy he would like to know. But less he knew about his past. Okay nothing actually.

He was lost in his thoughts until, “Hey are you even listening?”

“What?” Hankyung shrug off his thoughts. He looked down at the right now angry guy in front of him. “You said something?”

“Well I did. Don’t make me to repeat all the things I said.”

“Sorry.” Hankyung bowed deeply.

“Oh, well this time I’ll let this pass.” His voice softened.

“Then…” Hankyung get to listen to the list he ordered another time. He was fully listening and writing it down too.

“Thanks.” Hankyung bowed another time and was heading back when heard something that made him to stop dead in his tracks.

“Hannie….” That was almost as whisper, tender and soft. He almost thought; it was imagination playing tricks with him.

“Did you say something?” Hankyung turned around.

“No, no it’s nothing.” Surprisingly but he break into a smile. “You can go.”

“Oh… ok…”

This guy is acting weird… or I must be imagining too much

Hankyung watched him all the time when he ate but there were no strange actions. As he got the bill he was simply smiling. But he felt there was something strange in the way he looked at him. DongHae was all bouncy again as he left and started to ask questions.

“How you did that?”

“No idea.”

“Why he was so hmm nice?”

“I don’t know.”

“Hey you’re not helpful at all.”

“Not my fault.”

Hankyung stared somewhere in space not aware of one thing someone was watching him through window and few more from the darkest corner of this restaurant.

“Are you sure it was him?” A man in a black suit stood up in a fury in his eyes. The rest step aside as he made his way to the one who spoke up. The only sound was his footsteps, it was that silent. “Are you sure?”

“Very sure, boss. He is still alive but only with no memories.” He added. Nervously he ran his hand through his black hair and strained his jacket afterwards. It was risky to get all his attention telling such a important news knowing that if it’s not real (which it is this time) can cost him his life. But he was ready to do that. He has proofs that he is telling truth. He was rough and fiery, his boss and if someone comes in his way he just destroy them with all the strength and people he has. Just being about to turn 40 next year he has already gained all the respect he needed. He was the person other’s should be afraid of and he was glad that he is on his side.

“No memories? That’s interesting.” He looked down as if being in deep thoughts. “This guy has not the smaller clue who was he?”

“No, boss. He was totally clueless when saw us.”

“He saw you?” The boss gave him a surprised look but it wasn’t giving any good ideas in his mind.  Just then the boss punched him in a stomach using his elbow. He bends in a sudden pain hissing silently.

“Make sure that it was the last time. I need you to do the duty I have in my mind. There is no other I can trust anyway.” He shot around a glare that made the rest to look down in shame that they mean so less to him.

“Yes, boss.”

“Before that show me proofs you have.” He invited him to sit down and the talk can begin.
