The September plan

Sep 09, 2011 22:29

The plan was to go all the way to Kelantan for Jelawang Waterfall (arguably the tallest tiered waterfall in Peninsular Malaysia, 270m) at Gunung Stong. Take a few torturous hours to trek up to Baha Camp. Set up tent for the night and self cook our meals with our portable stoves. Star gazing in the night. Catch the sun rise in the morn. Basically just enjoy the beautiful waterfall and the top-of-the-world view. Take in all the good things and descend the next day.

Then, head for Pulau Perhentian for some sun, sand, sea.

Oh well... obviously, that did not manifest. Thanks to the recent "home improvement" tasks that I got myself into and some kids' matters that made me felt... ... well, just not up to it. Will have to make it happen one day.

So, when the Wees asked if we were interested to check out Gunung Datuk in Negri Sembilan (nearer home, as compared to Kelantan), we said yes with no hesitations.

And so, the highlight of our September school holidays is GUNUNG DATUK!!!
