The Girl had been teaching me really nice songs from school. Here's one about the tree...

If I were a tree, I'll stand so straight and still
And hold my branches up like this
With all my fruits and leaves, until...
Blow, wind, blow!
I swing my arms just so
I'll dance around when strong wind blows
As my leaves go to and fro.

Well, the other day, the Boy was asked to "bring a tree" to school by his teacher. And so, when back home after a trip to Dairy Farm Nature Park, he started to work on it. Drawing and coloring a tree on the drawing paper, then cutting it. Me wanting to make a tree as well (just to let the kids see that there are other ways of "making a tree") took the stick that they brought back home from the park and started to work too!

Look at my tree!

Our trees!
My tree nice? It's very easy to make! Get a small bottle lined the inside with paper. Squeeze the stick in, so as it is securely supported upright by the paper in the bottle. Crumple up some pieces of newspaper and shape the tree crown by taping the newspaper up on the stick with masking tape. Paint. Voila!
