virtually cool

Today was almost productive. I went to my english discussion and then half of my english lecture where i turned in my paper on the tempest. it was about how women are portrayed by shakespeare and how if they have power they are condemned as evil. i learned that in my enlgish class it is easier to be a neo-feminist. you get better grades.

then kathleen texted me because her roommate couldn't find her spanish book which she said i lost. i might've but i could've swore i put it on the table downstairs. anyway i left early to check my house again and it still wasn't there. so i'm buying a new one tomorrow so she can use it and i don't have to feel guilty. or more guilty. i am generally a guilty person.

then i went to Mosaic which is the campus poetry/fiction journal that is put out every year. i kinda feel bad because all the poems we get are poorly written and we all end up making jokes about them. which is fun but then i wonder if that makes me a prick. it probably does, but i can't help it when half the stuff rhymes every line with the same word and uses vague abstactions like "imposing health" or "remnents of the dark chaos." people should be specific, and not try to make eating their morning cereal into an epic battle of good vs. evil.

Anyway, kathleen got her laptop back that she "dropped" with the screen all shiney and new and i installed the sims 2 on it. So now, instead of laying around watching tv and eating chips we can watch virtual people lay around watching tv and eating chips. it's great. i = elliott bentley and kathleen = samantha bentley and we just had a boy named jake. at least virtual reality is rewarding.
