MADE IN PHOTOSHOP CS2! Including Selective Color & Color Balance...
01. First, you open you picture and do what you always do when you start. (crop, resize, ect.)
02. Duplicate your base and set it to Screen 85% (this depends on your base!)
03. Add a new Hue/Saturation layer and set Saturation at 15%...
04. Make a new Selective Color layer and set you settings like this:
REDS: -42 || +7 || -31 || 0
YELLOWS: +100|| +8 || -24 || +4
GREENS: +100 || +100 || +6 || 0
CYCANS: +100 || -47 || +2 || -26
NEUTRALS: +22 || +4 || -17 || +5
05. Add another Hue/Saturation layer and set Saturation at 15%.
06. Make a new Color Balance layer and set you settings like this:
MIDTONES: -27 || +9 || -8
Make sure that Preserve Luminosity is checked...
You're finished with the coloring!
If you want the effect, you can do this:
07. Now you're finished with the coloring, you can add the effect to your icon...
Make a new layer (CTRL + SHIFT + N)
08. Copy all the all the layers an paste them into the new layer (CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + E)
09. Go to Filter --> Blur --> Radial Blur and set the settings at:
Blur Method : Zoom
Amount: 100%
Quality: Good
Press OK .
10. Take the Eraser Tool and take a soft eraser and set it on 90%
Set you eraser in the middle of the icon and click one or two times.
Make sure that your copied layer of step 8 is slected!!
