Miyavi Melkweg concert

I totally loved Miyavi's concert in the Melkweg in Amsterdam yesterday!
For me it was strange to get back into "the scene". I have been out of Lolita for a long time and haven't listened much to Asian music anymore. It was like an old box put away two years ago and then opened it again. I've always liked Miyavi and never really stopped listenening to it, just as like Maximum the Hormone (how much I want a concert of them!) :). I met up with Marijn, Rose and Renate beforehand and we ate some pizza, then Marijn almost forgot to pay ;p.
Then we were off to the concert!

I actually discovered I truly like these kind of music the most and I also have trouble with dressing "mainstream". Not that I do, not that I want to dress Lolita or VK at a daily life, but I think having an own style is important for me :).

Anyhow. I loved the concert, the music, people a bit less ;p. But I met some new people and I was together with friends I haven't seen for a while either so that was great! Marijn came back from Japan as she was in Japan during the earthquake and tsunami, her school brought her back here.

I'm not really known with guitars or playing guitars (however I signed up for lessons which will start next September) but the way Miyavi played his guitar was really strange, maybe he's not the only one doing it but still, I must admit I haven't seen it before, besides maybe on his first concert in P60 ;p.
I thought it was hilarious how he pulled up his shirt (fanservice), throwing water and later the empty waterbottle in the audience, letting him get touched, walking off stage and just messing around with a little sound recorder because girls (and guys) started screaming.

I liked the fact he spoke pretty well English and also wanted a moment of silence so we could pray for what happened in Japan. Too bad a few people in the back were not taking it serious :/.

Furthermore, loved the music, loved the drums, loved the guitar, loved that little toybox recorder thing he used (what's it called?) and in the end I loved my view (not speaking about enormous guys making a wall infront of me or people being hysterical behind me, or even ramming me by jumping forward in the audience or jumping in my FEET.) I got later because I could see everything! I also loved MYV's hair because .. it looked grown out, simple and I rediscovered he's quite handsome ;).

I have no pictures because I was afraid my camera would get ambushed, sorry!

oh and in the end some Polish guys asked us if we were partying because everyone stood outside and all.
Then Rose said "walk with us" and pointed them some clubs they could go to. I taught the guys that if you say "je bent een bosaap" it means "you're pretty" in Dutch.

And a drunk guy in the train started talking to us about "Chinese guy, Chinese music, Chinese concert".
Brilliant.

amsterdam, uitgaan, retarted people, concert, music
