I guess it's been a while since I did a proper update so it's going to be a long one. bail now if you don't like lots of pics. okay, going back to Feb. a friend of mine, JohnB, is a freelance photographer. He had a job here in Philadelphia and we made plans to get together. unfortunately crappy winter weather made sure we only had a chance to hang out for a few hours one night but we had fun at Walmart and then having dinner at Hibachi Japanese steak house. by the way, I'm crap at catching shrimp in my mouth! food was great and the company was even better.

well, I've never had my duck eaten before!

sailing away on the appetizer boat

the duck collection is growing

Josh's lack of vehicle dilemna was alleviated when his father gave him this truck. he's a little overwhelmed by the size but is getting used to it.

Saturday March 1 my brother John asked me to come down after work. uh-oh, party alert..*dread*
it wasn't bad. we just went out to dinner at Olive Garden and my other brother Dave and his wife and son and my cousin Paula and her two boys just happened to show up. surprise...

Dave and Debbie

John, Dawn and their grand-daughter Brianna. aww, she loves her Pop-Pop

Paula, Andrew, Christian

dinner was good and I thought I was free and clear. don't get me wrong, I love my family but I truly hate the whole singing happy birthday in a restaurant and being publically embarressed thing. so of course...

Next day I was off to Philly for the flower show. it's the largest indoor flower show in the world, so the blurb on the pamphlet says. the theme this year was 'All Jazzed Up' a tribute to New Orleans. I had a great time just strolling around at my own pace and taking pics to my hearts content. I was blown away by the orchids but they also had some great set ups of old cabins in swamps, buildings like those in the french quarter and some abstract settings but most of those pics turned out too dark. I'll just put a few of my best flower pics here to save room and link to the rest. I hope you'll go see them, I'm quite happy with them and want to share.

and the rest are here: http://hullulintu.livejournal.com that's about it for now. talk at ya'll soon.
