I've been overlooking a very good reason to admire the snow, rather than complain about it. Whilst sitting in my back porch having a smoke, my eyes were drawn to how easily tracks in the snow are made. Without the blankets of white covering the grass, I wouldn't be able to see paw prints trailing all around my yard. I wouldn't catch sight of how snuggly tight it embeds your shoe's imprint into itself, just like a tattoo. I wouldn't be reminded of the afternoon my one true love stole a little piece of my heart by walking in my foot prints. There's a sweet innocence to winter that's hard to explain, but easy to see. Winter has nothing to hide, it bears all. It's nature's way of stripping everything down, starting over & leaving no secrets.
