Pretty full weekend. It started out on my way to work Friday when I lost my ATM card. I guess I really didn't lose it, I know exactlly where I left it. I was running a little late and was getting some cash from the ATM and instead of grabbing my card and reciept I just zoomed away from The ATM. I went to MCDonalds accross the street when I realized my error and went back less than 5 minutes later. My reciept was laying on the ground but my card was no-where to be seen. Hopefully the machine kept it and I can get it back today.
Saturday morning I went target shooting with Marty from work and sighted in my rifle a little better. I'm pretty happy with how well it's shooting. When I got home everyone else was starting to wake up and one of our friends stopped by to invite us on an impromptu camping trip. At first I wasn't interested but then the idea of Spenceville came up and I remembered that every now and then people got pig there and I have my tag so I decided to go. By the time I got there I was thoroughly drunk and after setting up camp and eating dinner some guy stopped by to tell us he would be running his dogs around the area so I asked him if he knew where to find the hogs. He gave me some directions and he left. I convinced my brother to go with me and we packed up some beer and a blanket each then hiked a couple mile into the woods to where I thought the guy said the pigs were. When we were walking up the hill we were to camp at we saw a few deer that we probably could have shot but it's not the season and it would have been an iffy shot anyway, but damn my finger got itchy. I fell asleep as soon as we got there much to Roberts chargrine. Apparently his idea of roughing it includes a warm fire and plenty of blankets. Oh well. I woke up at about 0130 and noticed he had made his fire but it was still pretty damn cold and I wished I'd brought a pillow at least. The rock we were sharing didn't exactly work all that great. I wasn't able to sleep much after that but I was feeling hopefull about this spot. When it was light enough to see I got Robert up and we started walking back. We saw a three coyotes, a retarded-deaf cow(they sound like deaf humans only infinitly louder), and a covey of quail, but no pigs. Might have seen some tracks but really not sure. I could have actually shot one of the coyotes and it would have been completely legal but then the question is what to do with it. I'm certainly not going to eat one. Maybe use its pelt? I dunno. It was about 150 yards from me when it stopped to look back at me and I was able to put the crossairs right between its eyes. The first coyote ran in front of us at about twenty yards but immeadiately disapeared in the underbrush and the second one was at least three hundred yards away and I had trouble even seeing it and never would have if Robert wasn't there. They sure made alot of noise the night before and even scared us a little when they seemed to be on the same hill as we were. Got back to our primary camp ground and woke everyone up and packed up camp to go home and eat breakfast. Soon as I unpacked my truck I took a long shower and passed out for the rest of the day. Woke up last night and finished reading a sci-fi book called Hyperion. Got to the very end and realized that I have to go buy the sequal to get any kind of closure from it. Damn.
Just got back from gettin my ATM card back. Yay. Pretty easily too. Good.
I can pick up my new gun Saturday and my computer should be here Friday or Saturday. Now I'm back to being pretty broke, but with a couple new toys to last me awhile.

Up in the Buttes. Supposed to be good pig hunting but also private property. Damn!

fifty yard target.
--------------
Hundred yard target. Any of those would have brought down the coyote I saw.

My two trucks. I really should get the yellow one running again.
