Sooo last night was a lot of fun. Went to Brooke's yesterday morning for an art party but due to the large accumulation of "Dawg" fans, who try to cramm onto what seems like only 2 roads it took 2 hours to get there. Then went to Katie's for a very fun, interesting, Trivial Pursuit party that didn't really end in a Trivial Pursuit party. I guess when the booze got to flowing and the drunks got to rolling, the intelligence level dwindled into a fine bottle of well... uniqueness. Besides all that.
Today warrants a couple of firsts for me. Because I didn't get home til 1am I was exhausted, but my father on an offhand was insistent on going to Red Lobster for Shrimp. So despite the warm, comfortable bed, I drug myself up to go to eat, unbeknown to me that that would start the horrendous of which I should have just stayed in bed. The dinner was fine, then the new Rolling Stones cd from Circuit City was great, the speeding cars on the road in front of all this as 12:30 on Sunday was the source of all evil. Father was driving, and trying to pull out. He looked left, I looked left, he looked right, I looked right, then we both looked left again, which ended in no cars coming, so he pulled out. From seemingly no where, this large, bugg eyed, slobbering, snarling SUV (damn the inventor of these beasts) came from no where and slammed into my car. They were going to fast that they did not just hit me once, but ricocheted off my car and struck us yet again. Thank God Daddy didn't have his arm out the window!!! I just thought of that!!
In the long run. My cars totaled. We're okay, no bruises scratches or hurts. Insurance pays nothing b/c I only had liability and I have no money to buy a new car. This should turn into a quite interesting... nerve racking couple of weeks. Dad's gonna help me get a new car but even he doesn't know where that money's coming from.
The good news.... I have been thinking of buying a new car for awhile now, just wanted to put it off as long as I could... but! I was about to have to drop a lot of money on the car, brakes, tires, front end, shocks, wierd alternator battery thing. So in a weird way I guess it's a blessing that instead of sinking all this money into a car with 150,000 miles, I'll now be sinking it into a new car.
To Be Continued..... must take shower and bed. :0
