This is what Costa Ricans call democracy

We had Presidential elections in February. There were over 13 parties and no one obtained the necessary percentage. So, the Constitution stipulates that we would have a second round in April between the official party and the opposition with more votes in the first round. Today, the candidate of the official party renounced to his aspirations. Still, the Constitution says that there will be elections anyway.
My country is terribly quiet, people want a change of governments and yet, it came smoothly.
With all that is happening in Ukraine and Venezuela; people on the streets claiming so violently for changes; it makes me proud to live in this country where things happen so peacefully.
We'll go to elections in April and everything will be as well as always.
